This & That

I've been working on a couple of random things lately to help keep my obsession busy!  Spring has a tendency to make me want to change things up...more than usual, that is!  I get bored so stinkin fast when it comes to my house...but anything else in life, I DO NOT like change!  Funny how that works.  Here are a few of those projects:



I finally got around to painting this vase...I talked about it back in my spray paint post.  Oh how I hate decorating above cabinets.  I wish so bad they just went all the way to the ceiling.  Maybe in our next house:)

I fell in love with this chair I saw on Pinterest a while ago, and decided to try this with the chair in my little girls room...

My cute little helper...so excited I let her help out on this project!  Geez, I need to not be such a control freak!

 And this is our result! It adds a little more interest to all the pink she has going on in there.

 I've been in love with the faux deer/animal heads for so long now.  I want, want, want one of them from West Elm, like this one:

But for $99...I don't think I will ever be able to justify spending that.  So the other day I was browsing at Hobby Lobby and came across this guy for only $12: 



He looks pretty scary, ugly right now.   But I had a vision!  Nothing a little spray paint couldn't fix!

 Here is how it ended up!  I wasn't quite sold on it at first, but he is definitely growing on me!   

 My kids were a little scared of him at first, but now he is "our friend!" said my little boy.  Hey for $12, I'll take it!!

Keep the warm weather coming Spring...my next projet is to paint our front door a lively color.  I'm sick of looking at the boring brown!...Stay tuned!!

Easter Egg Outfit

My kids have been on Spring Break this week, so I've been trying to come up with anything to do to keep us busy!  This morning, after being lazy and laying around all morning, my little girl said after I finally got dressed, "mom your clothes are the colors of Easter eggs!"  So there you go...todays outfit is inspired by Easter!

Home Post: Part 4

This home post is my little boys' room.  Since we moved into our house it has been an office, then a nursery and now a shared room for both my boys.  When I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd boy, we realized they would need to share a room (since we only have 3 rooms upstairs).  The room is pretty small, so we came up with the solution of having a loft bunkbed to try and use the space a little better.  This is what we came up with..and when the baby grows out of his crib, we will just put his twin bed under the loft.  Enjoy!

Home Post: Part 3

Home post part 3 is the master bedroom.  This was the second room we tackled, and oh how I wish I had a before picture of this room!  Oh wow, it was awful.  We had been married at least 6 years, and still didn't have 1 piece of real furniture in our room!  Its come a long way:)

Try the Trend: Printed Jeans

Colored jeans have been super popular the last few seasons, and while they are still in style, we have been seeing a surge of patterned jeans come about.  Floral, polka dots, stripes and even aztec prints are definitely making a statement.  I personally love all these styles...but am starting to think I might be getting too old to pass these off!  I know I feel like I'm still 21, but I'm definitely not...Not even close:)  So what do you all think, yay or nay?

I love this fun paisley print!  Its not as common as the others, and I love how the colors are still soft

If you look closely, you'll notice these cute pants are polka dotted.  I love how muted they are...not so in-your-face, plus the pink color is perfect for spring!

Disneyland!

My family took a little trip to Disneyland recently...it was wonderful, just the little break we needed.  We went with some of our good friends, so it made it that much more fun for the kids.  They are always better when they have a friend to be with instead of a sibling, right?!  So here are a few pictures of our trip to the happiest place on earth!
